On June 30, the Australian Federal Court of Appeals handed down a decision and court order about a lawsuit concerning a claim brought by Seafood Innovations Pty Ltd against Richard Bass and Richard Bass Pty Ltd.
In its claim, Seafood Innovations had accused Richard Bass of breaching its two registered patents for fish stunning machines that slaughter farmed Atlantic salmon humanely, till then produced by both companies.
“Seafood Innovations will assist the industry who may be affected by the rulings,” Seafood Innovations business manager Noel Carruthers told IntraFish.
