South American seafood company Copeinca is developing plans for a new processing plant to turn its crude fish oil into a grade fit for human consumption (HC).
“Hopefully in the very short term we’ll have something to announce on this,” CEO Pablo Trapunsky told IntraFish. “We have met and connected with most of the key players on the world market in omega-3.”
He envisions selling bottles of fish oil pills to a US company, which could attach its own brand label and marketing campaign at a time when the omega-3 pill popularity is soaring.
