Cooke Aquaculture’s CAD150 million ($145.8 million/ €116.6million) expansion is under way in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia afterseveral years of planning and discussions with the provincial government.
Overthe next three years, the company will be independently funding $125 million ofprojects, which include a new processing plant, new salmon hatchery and theexpansion of an existing feed mill.
The plans enable Cooke to pick up where it left off in2008, when its 11-year streak of acquiring a new company or facility everysingle year, except one, ended.
