“The big thing people should realize this year is, you’ve got salmon farmers around the world reaping the benefit of what’s happened in Chile, but if what didn’t happen in Chile this year, the last 18 months, if their stock would have come to market, you would have seen the greatest financial disaster that’s ever hit salmon farming around the world,” Cooke told IntraFish.

“Norway way overproduced again this year, and will do that again next year, so if Chile’s production would have been there, the price of salmon would have been extremely low.
