Moody’s Investors Service’s newly released credit opinion on Cooke Aquaculture reveals the company is considering making big financial moves in Chile, and Cooke confirms the report.
“We are currently evaluating acquisitions or merger opportunities in Chile,” Chuck Brown, communications manager for Cooke Aquaculture, told IntraFish. “I think that all salmon farming companies in Chile have been challenged in the past year and have experienced operating losses due to market conditions.”
