As shrimp countervailing duty rates began rolling in, the Indian industry expressed confusion by conflicting reports.

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) originally reported  the countrywide duty rate as 5.91 percent duty, with one of India's largest exporters, Devi Seafoods, receiving 5.72 percent duty and Devi Fisheries receiving 6.1 percent duty. Later, in statement sent to the public by the DOC, the published duties were 10.87 percent for India as a whole, 11.32 percent for Devi Seafoods and 10.41 percent for Devi Fisheries.
