Processors of fresh Canadian coldwater shrimp will likely take a hit on their margins this spring in a bid not to scare off buyers, a Canadian shrimp exporter told IntraFish.

The strong Canadian dollar and a fragile economic climate mean cooked and peeled processors are wary to pass on any price increase to their European buyers, the exporter said.
