Atlantic Cod Farms managing director Kenneth Brandal would not comment on the speculation, which follows investments made by Frode Teigen in both Norwegian cod farming companies.
Brandal, however, said the company welcomed Teigen’s investment. ”The fact that he has shares in both companies shows that he has faith in cod farming,” Brandal told IntraFish.
”He is an interesting investor to have onboard, and that’s something that the industry needs. We are very happy to have him as a shareholder.”
Brandal added that the prospects are looking good for the fish that the company put to sea lasts year.
