Average Atlantic cod prices between January and July were down 20.6 percent compared with the same period a year earlier, further sign the industry continues to struggle to move prices up among the continuing glut of fish, according to the latest data from seafood research group Marko Partners.
The average price of cod from the main exporting countries -- based on landed price converted into live weight by product form -- was €1.33 ($1.80) per kilo in the first seven months of the year, Jon Stefansson, head of research at Marko Partners told IntraFish, compared with an average of €1.68
