Is it possible that Greenpeace might be running out of topics to attack the fishing industry with?

I was disappointed to see this week (June 14th) that Greenpeace activists obstructed access to a crucial meeting of the European Union (EU) Fisheries Council in Luxembourg.

This, by the way, is the same group that I met in person less than one month ago in the United Kingdom when their spokesperson announced that they now wished to ‘get away from a militant image” and to “work in a supportive role with the industry."

In what they describe as a “stitch-up by EU ministers to allow overfishing to continue until 2020”, Greenpeace claimed that the planned agreement between EU member states could derail any chance of achieving worthwhile improvements to EU fishing rules under reform.

Activists locked themselves to heavy obstacles, including fishing buoys and an oversized fish bone made of steel.
