Thousands of pounds of Canadian lobster from the company had to be rerouted after flights to Europe from Canada remained grounded, Canadian Press reported.

About 10,000 pounds of lobster had to be diverted by the air traffic nightmare, he said, but would be in the hundreds of thousands of pounds if the problems occurred during the peak season, CEO Colin MacDonald told the news agency.

Clearwater, the largest supplier of lobsters in Canada, won't be impacted too much by the changes because it's the slow season for lobster, he said.

Lobsters
