The value of seafood sold in the UK for the year ending in July rose to £3.2 billion (€4 billion/$5.3 billion), up 2 percent from the previous year’s total of £3.1 billion (€3.9 billion/$5.2 billion), with the volume of sales dropping to 342,700 metric tons, down 4 percent from the year before, according to Nielsen statistics recently released by Seafish.
