Lawmakers making up the fisheries and aquaculture commission received salmon industry worker representatives in the National Congress, just as in December 2007, when union leaders informed lawmakers about the labor and sanitary problems of the industry.
The purpose of the visit is “to get the support of lawmakers to mitigate the social impacts from the crisis caused by the ISA virus,” sources from the National Confederation of Salmon Industry Workers (CONATRASAL) said.
