Thai Union-owned Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods on Wednesday announced it signed an agreement to purchase the assets of shellfish specialist Orion Seafood International.
Bryan Rosenberg, president and CEO of Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods, said the acquisition will not only broaden the company's portfolio, but allow it to tap into Orion's existing market reach in Europe and Asia.
"For some time now, we have viewed the shellfish category as a key strategic diversification opportunity for our company," he said.
