Specialty food distributor Chef's Warehouse on Monday announced it reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Del Monte Capitol Meat Co. and its affiliated companies, including San Francisco-based Ports Seafood, for $191.2 million (€162.4 million).
Ports Seafood custom processes locally harvested and imported fish for distribution in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Del Monte CEO and principal owner John DeBenedetti will join Chef's Warehouse as executive vice president.
