The company in charge of certifying the Russian Sea of Okhotsk (SOO) pollock fishery under the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) eco-label program is refuting objections lodged by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the At-sea Processors Association (APA).
Intertek Moody Marine (IMM) published its response to the objections on the MSC web site on Tuesday, roundly dismissing a wide range of the two groups' complaints against certifying the fishery.
The final decision on certification now goes to independent adjudicator Michael Lodge. There is no time set for his final decision.
