“There’ll be feed enough for everyone, including in the future,” Isaksen said.
Isaken’s comments came after Marine Harvest CEO Atle Eide challenged the feed sector over prices.
“They need to do something about production volumes, to enable the aquaculture industry to grow at sustainable prices,” Eide said.
Isaken responded by saying Cermaq subsidiary Ewos is building a new feed factory in Chile, and continuously assessing the needs also in Norway and Europe.
“I don’t think Atle Eide has anything to worry about whether or not he will have enough feed for his fish,” Isaksen told IntraFish following his presentation.
