Cermaq's board of directors approved the sale of all or parts of the company's fish feed business EWOS in an extraordinary general meeting held Thursday.

More than two thirds of shareholders voted for the sale, the company said in a stock exchange release.

"We are pleased that the shareholders almost with a 100 percent basis approved the proposal to give the board the proxy to sell EWOS if that is the selected decision," Tore Valderhaug, CFO at Cermaq, told IntraFish.
