The acquisition of Copeinca is both about securing access to a crucial raw material in fish feed, but also about improving the quality of the end product, Cermaq told visitors in a PR offensive at the EWOS Innovation plant in Dirdal on Monday.
Through the Copeinca acquisition, the company hopes to vertically integrate and to improve the feed process, generating yearly synergies of NOK 250 million (€33.1 million/$42.9 million) to NOK 270 million (€35.8 million/$46.4 million).
