Although Gorton’s Canadian subsidiary BlueWater Seafoods is set to close next June, the American company’s CEO told IntraFish Monday the decision is simply "capacity consolidation," and "not part of a broader effort" by its parent company Nippon Suisan Kaisa (Nissui) to continue with its exit from overseas subsidiaries.
