The US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announced Monday Illinois-based Censea, Inc. issued a recall of its A-PAC 8/12 count headless shell on black tiger shrimp over Salmonella contamination concerns following testing by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
The product was distributed to wholesale, retail and restaurant locations in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois and Texas.
The product originated from Vietnam and comes in 6 x 4 pound frozen block not labeled for retail sale and a brand label of A-PAC and date code of 36009V.
