More than a dozen species representing growers from the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, Ontario and the Yukon will be served at the Starfish Oyster Bed & Grill, show organizers say.
"The message is we represent seafood growers from every Canadian province, and even though our products are in high demand internationally, we haven’t done enough to tell our own story in our own country," Ruth Salmon, executive director of the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance, told IntraFish.
To that end, the event will allow Toronto media to speak with growers and other industry supporters to get the message out about fish farming, she said.
