On Aug. 8, a fire destroyed 90 percent of Capitaine Houat's 6,000 square meter fresh fish and shrimp cooking factory in Lorient.
Since then, the company has shown an interest in the old facilities of Casino in Lanester, the town's mayor told French media.
Lanester is located some 3 kilometers away from Lorient.
The factory that burnt down employed 200 people and operated six filleting lines and a shrimp cooking unit.
