Fish diseases are still causing major losses for fish farmers all over the world. Lately, international attention has been directed at the infectious salmon anemia (ISA) outbreaks in Chile, largely because these outbreaks influence the market’s impression of what salmon shares on the stock exchange are worth.
Along the southern Norwegian coastline, there have been many serious outbreaks of pancreas disease (PD) this spring and summer. The extent of this disease is so immense that it is causing major losses to Norwegian fish farmers.
