The salmon and fisheries businesses were up to recently both part of the fisheries area of Camanchaca, but shareholders voted to form Salmones Camanchaca as an affiliate of Pesquera Camanchaca.
The decision was made in June, and is the first step in a company reorganization process, the company told La Tercera.
The second step started in October, when the company increased its capital from $61 million (€41 million) to $175 million (€117 million), which will be paid with virtually all the shares of Salmones Camanchaca.
