Spanish canning giant, The Calvo Group, is set to be the first company to export tuna from El Salvador under the ‘Association Agreement between Central America and the European Union (EU)’.
El Salvador’s deputy minister of foreign trade, Mario Hernandez, told local reporters that the first shipment of tuna is 160 metric tons, which will enter the EU under a “zero tariff” agreement.
