Bumble Bee Seafoods has contributed to a $323,384 (€300,615) bonus for staff at Fijian trading partner Pacific Fishing Company, in recognition of the employees hard work.
The payout, announced by Acting Fijian Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, is "to be divided between 989 employees including management," according to Sayed-Khaiyum's Twitter account.
Company chairperson Ikbal Jannif said Pacific Fishing had been plagued with challenges over the past few years but recently they had managed to turn the company around and had started making some profit, reports Fiji Times.
