Mike Mason’s "Bristol Bay Fisheries Report" broadcast on Sunday said the bay's commercial fishing fleet has harvested more than one million fish a day since June 26, with the total sockeye catch this season topping 18 million.

“Those large catches have overwhelmed the bay’s processors, which in turn resulted in limits and suspensions on fishermen once again this year," he said.

By June 29, almost every processor in the bay had put limits of some kind on both their drift and set net fleets, he said.
