With only two salmon production licenses, Norwegian salmon farmer Mortenlaks accomplished quite a lot.

The Lødingen-based company delivered an operating profit of NOK 25.8 million (€3.1 million/$4.2 million) last year, up sharply from last year, when it turned in a NOK 4.5 million (€546,336/$730,854) profit.

Revenue improved by more than NOK 20 million (€2.4 million/$3.2 million) last year, to NOK 84 million (€10.2 million/$13.6 million) from NOK 63.8 million (€7.7 million/$10.4 million) the previous year.

Naturally, the sky-high salmon prices led to the solid figures.
