Brooklyn-based Acme Smoked Fish is introducing sashimi style smoked salmon under its Blue Hill Bay brand at the Seafood Expo. The group is at Booth #2806.

Magallanes-based salmon producer Nova Austral will introduce its new farmed salmon premium brand Sixty South at the Seafood Expo in Boston.

The name Sixty South responds to the farm’s location and the origin of the salmon, raised free of antibiotic and pesticides.

“With Sixty South, we're offering a whole new class of sustainable salmon raised on natural terms," said CEO Nicos Nicolaides. 

Attendees are invited to visit booth #2117 -- where the product will be showcased -- or to arrange an appointment with the Nova Austral team to learn more about it.

Regal Springs will donate five pounds of tilapia for every Tilapia Power Bowl sampled by an attendee during the Boston seafood show.

Attendees can also take a 360-degree tour of Regal Springs’ lake-farms, facilities and communities in Chiapas, Mexico at booth #621.

The Norwegian Seafood Council will host a live Q&A with Norwegian salmon farmers at noon on Sunday and Monday at booth #951.

Also, Boston-based Blue Dragon Executive Chef Tom Woods will prepare samples of Asian-inspired specialties from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. each day during the expo.

Tropical Aquaculture Products will host representatives from each of its tilapia farming and processing facilities in Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador as well as Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila, which is Ecuador's leading shrimp processor, producer and exporter.

Chefs Nicholas Calias and Danielle Dorcil will cook tilapia, organic salmon, shrimp and cod for attendees to sample. There will also be recipe cards available. Check them out at booth #333.

"New this year from Europe, Tropical will also be joined by Cesare Regnoli & Figlio S.r.l. to introduce a full line of retail-ready seafood salads featuring classic Italian flavors such as white anchovies, octopus, and mackerel," said the company.

The company will also encourage attendees to take a selfie in front of its"Think Tropical" island getaway display in the main lobby and use the hashtag #EatTilapia for a chance to win a gift bag.

Processing equipment maker Linde will be showcasing two new products to support prepared seafood processors and aquaculture operators at the upcoming Seafood Expo North America.

The company’s Cryoline Crowave IQF freezer uses a patented rolling-wave action on the conveyor belt to keep seafood items separate as they are individually quick frozen (IQF).

And its new Solvox oxygenation system for aquaculture operations offers a simple drop-in solution for seawater species grown in fish tanks and sea cages that promotes fish health throughout the growth cycle.

Greek seabass and seabream producer Selonda said recently it will sponsor 'My Greek Table' with Chef Diane Kochilas, airing in September in the US.

Kochilas will be at the Selonda booth #2617 at SENA offering dishes such as Greek sea bass and sea bream.

Clearwater Seafoods launched several new products for the North American marketplace.

Clearwater will showcase Frozen Arctic Surf Clam Sushi-Ready Slices, Chopped Wild Arctic Surf Canned Clams, Rock Crab Claws and Norway Lobster at Seafood Expo North America.

Attendance of Scottish companies will double this year at the Seafood Expo North America as firms join trade body Seafood Scotland in a bid to give Scottish seafood exports a boost in the North American market.

Attending for the first time will be Anderson Crab, Campbells & Co, Loch Fyne Oysters and Scottish Seas, among others.

“Shows such as the prestigious Seafood Expo in Boston are increasingly valued for their potential to establish new trade relationships between the UK and America," said Clare MacDougall, trade marketing manager at Seafood Scotland.

Massachusetts-based processor and distributor Great Eastern Seafood is celebrating its 35th anniversary by returning to the Seafood Expo North America after not exhibiting at the show for 25 years.

It will showcase its “Best of Class” globally sourced seafood at booth #2781.

The company has personnel inspect seafood at the three New England fresh fish daily auctions located in Gloucester, MA, New Bedford, MA and Portland, ME. Its seafood is then transferred from the auction its customers or facility, which is SQF level 2 certified, HACCP and MSC Certified.

Camanchaca Inc., the US-based division of Chilean salmon firm Camanchaca S.A., said Monday it will debut three new products at the upcoming Seafood Expo North America in Boston.

Massachusetts-based Mariner Seafood said it will debut its GO WILD brand of super chilled, grab-and-go seafood at the Seafood Expo in Boston.

The ready-to-prepare line uses vacuum skin packaging (VSP) technology for wild-caught seafood, including Alaskan salmon, cod, haddock, flounder, pollock, Golden Redfish, domestic Gulf shrimp and sea scallops.

Air Products will introduce its new Freshline IQ cryogenic tunnel freezer at Seafood Expo North America in Boston in March.
