That would amount to sales of approximately $25 million (€18.9 million), the company said.
Of the total volume, 400 metric tons would come from Umami’s Croatian farm, Kali Tuna, and 1,000 metric tons from Baja Aqua Farms, the Mexican farm Umami acquired this summer.
Only 350 metric tons of the volumes harvested in Baja were harvested after Umami’s acquisition of the farm.
By the end of the year, Umami says it expects its pens to hold around 5,000 metric tons of northern Atlantic bluefin tuna, including some ready for sale.
