Seattle-based fisheries firm Blue North Fisheries has reached an agreement with Prowler Fisheries to take over management of the group's vessels, the companies announced Wednesday.

Under the terms of the deal, Blue North will manage Prowler's five hook-and-line catcher processors currently operating in the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands and Gulf of Alaska.

Prowler Fisheries is operated by managing partner Larry Cotter, who also serves as CEO of community development quota (CDQ) group Aleutian Pribilof Island Community Development Association (APICDA). Cotter will remain in his role following the deal.
