Permira-owned Birds Eye Iglo, which sells over £80 million (€119 million/$163 million) worth of fish fingers in the United Kingdom -- 80 percent of the entire market -- said Thursday it would launch a new fish finger line under the Birds Eye brand made with 100 percent Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified Alaska pollock, reducing its annual cod purchases by 4,000 metric tons.
