The Danish feed company will expand its production capacity by about 130,000 metric tons per year to address recent growth within salmon and in anticipation of future expansion.
“We’ll expand from around 300,000 metric tons up to somewhere between 420,000 to 440,000 metric tons, That is due to the growth of the Norwegian feed market,” CEO Torben Svejgard told IntraFish.
“The Norwegian salmon market now has reached the size where even a 5, 6 percent growth a year will need to trigger major investment from the feed suppliers, as we have seen and will see in the future.
