Among this group, departing on April 1, 2011, will be military servicemen who have been wounded in the line of duty and have subsequently lost limbs to amputation or been equally incapacitated by their injuries. They now seek to rebuild their lives, to inspire and to help others follow their lead as they set out to prove that injuries and amputations need not be a barrier to endeavour and achievement.
“We are extremely proud to be sponsors of this incredibly courageous group of men who, despite huge physical challenges, are testing themselves once again by walking to the North Pole to raise awareness and money for this extremely worthwhile cause,” said Big Prawn Chairman, Sean O’Hanlon.
