Colorado-based Bell Aquaculture LLC -- one of the largest vertically-integrated, land-based aquaculture companies in North America -- late last month responded to a lawsuit denying a debt it allegedly owed, according to court documents.
Missouri-based Nutra-Blend, LLC filed a lawsuit on Dec. 2 in the northern district of Indiana against Bell Aquaculture. Nutra-Blend produces and distributes vitamin, nutrient and mineral products for the feed industry. Nutra-Blend’s sole member is Purina Animal Nutrition LLC, whose members include Land O’Lakes, Inc. and LOL Holdings II, Inc.
