Greek producer Selonda has snapped up a supply contract with Lidl Hellas, and will now sell its chilled bass and bream in an "innovative packaging" in the retailer's stores across Greece.
Manufacturer Select Fish was chosen to provide the modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for the fish, which is sold whole and fully gutted.
In a statement, Selonda said the strategic location of its processing plant in Epidaurus, close to its farms, gives it the ability to respond quickly to the high volume order requests of Lidl Hellas.
