The aquaculture company posted a pretax loss of about 1.42 million pounds ($2.7 million/€1.9 million) for the six months to Sept 30, compared with a restated loss of 705,218 pounds ($1.4 million/€977,738) a year ago, while turnover rose 159 percent to 487,713 pounds ($970,149/€676,248).
Aquabella was established in 2004 and operates an indoor fish farm located in Lymington, Hampshire in the United Kingdom.
The company currently grows Barramundi and sells its product to the wholesale, retail and restaurant markets in Great Britain under the trade name New Forest Barramundi.
