BAP certifies four more Skuna Bay salmon farms

Grieg Seafood’s Skuna Bay Salmon brand has received the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s Best Aquaculture Practices certification for four more of its salmon farms, which means 100 percent of its 8 “craft raised” salmon farms are now BAP certified.

 “This is part of Skuna Bay’s Craftsmen Farmers’ commitment to lead in responsible rearing habits and environmental stewardship and demonstrate that an independent/third party – the Global Aquaculture Alliance – confirms this,” Dave Mergle, marketing manager for Skuna Bay, said.

“We at Skuna Bay are committed to building on our leadership position by maintaining full BAP certification going forward,” said Stewart Hawthorn, 'head farmer' for Skuna Bay Salmon.
