Bakkafrost, through its fully owned subsidiary Havsbrun, is investing DKK 16 million (€2.1 million/$2.9 million) to DKK 20 million (€2.7 million/$3.6 million) in a new pelagic factory, which is set to open this summer.
The fishmeal and fish feed manufacturer will own 30 percent of the facility, which will be located next to its fishmeal, oil and feed production unit in Fuglafjordur on the Faroe Islands.
