TAVEL Certification Inc. said Wednesday it determined the fishery meets all criteria set out by the MSC for the use of its blue eco-label, after considering the report of the assessment team, the report of the peer review panel and stakeholder comments.
This is a determination and not a final result. A 15-day objection period now begins, and a number of NGOs say they will challenge the recommendation, even though they expect the fishery to receive final approval.
