It will be the first oictopus farm in Australia, The West Australian reported.
The company says the business will be a success because of growing demand around the world for octopus, and will start production at a 10-hectare site.
Plans are to sell the octopus to restaurants and to serve an existing market for the marinated product, the newspaper reported.
Brothers and business partners Craig and Ross Cammilleri said they would begin the farming trial at the end of November and expect to harvest up to eight metric tons the first three months.
