“We’re building a new plant in Pisco that’s almost complete at an investment of around $15 million (€10 million)," Commercial Manager Didier Saplana told IntraFish. "We’re currently obtaining all the permits, the license to operate, and sanitary approvals and we’ll start testing very soon in the next few weeks.”
This is the company’s largest investment this year, he said. The new plant will produce canned mackerel, jack mackerel and anchovies, with output of 15,000 boxes a day, and will be able to receive 300 tons of raw materials daily.
