"All decisions must be made in [the city of] Austevoll, otherwise they don’t count," said Helge Mogster, who heads up one of Norway's largest seafood companies from the little island in western Norway, with a turnover of NOK 22 billion (€2.6 billion/$3.2 billion) and 10,000 staff.
Mogster is being sarcastic, of course, but nonetheless the engine of the group lies here in the town.
Two brothers, Helge and Ole Rasmus, built up companies under the umbrella of parent Laco AS in Austevoll, which has activities in 21 countries in addition to having a considerable operation within Norway.
