Sea Star on Monday acquired 16.1 percent of the shares of Modolv Sjoset AS by a private placement of new shares in Modolv Sjoset AS in favor of Sea Star International.
On completion of the acquisition Sea Star International owns 66 percent of the shares in the company.
Modolv Sjoset AS has a processing plant for pelagic fish with a processing capacity of approximately 700 metric tons per day, and an annual raw material intake of 60,000 metric tons to 70,000 metric tons.
