The At-sea Processors Association (APA) received with open arms the news Wednesday that an independent adjudicator was sending back portions of the Marine Stewardship Council assessment of a pending certification of Russia's Sea of Okhotsk pollock fishery.

"For us, it's good news," the association's Jim Gilmore told IntraFish. "It does mean that it's not the end of the process."

The APA decided to have its objection to the Russian fishery's certification sent to an independent adjudicator earlier this spring, just weeks before the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) withdrew it's objection of the Okhotsk fishery under the MSC program.

The
