The footage was shot in summer, during an Alaska seafood promotional event with school children. ASMI provided lunches at Japanese kindergartens and took video of the children enjoying the seafood.

KC Dochtermann, ASMI international program director, told IntraFish the timing was perfect to shoot the commercials.

“We were already feeding these kids,” he said.

ASMI paid about $80,000 (€61,094) to shoot and air the 30-second commercial, Dochtermann said.

The commercial showed the kids munching on seafood while a catchy tune about Alaska seafood played.
