“In light of the MCS decision, we intend to reintroduce monkfish,” Asda spokesman Dominic Burch told IntraFish. “Our plan is to get it back on our shelves as soon as we can. We’re focusing on buying from Scotland, and if we need to top up from other sources, we will.”
Asda's decision is something of a watershed, marking one of the first times a U.K. retailer backed away from a decision to remove a fish from its lineup.
