Before Florida-based restaurateur Pete McFarland and noted marine life artist Wyland embarked on building Wyland's Ocean Blue in the Village at Fairview, they decided this market is teeming with another necessary ingredient -- customers.
"If you look at the future, Fairview is an area that's growing," said Wyland, as camera-toting fans clustered in the afternoon heat Tuesday to officially christen the restaurant. "I always want to be on the front of new things and new places. We want to be on the ground floor," said the artist who goes by one name.
