On Feb. 2, the commercial court of Dunkerque decided to extend Aquanord's receivership by six months. This is the third extension granted to the bass and bream farmer since it first filed for bankrupcty in February 2010.

Now, the company of 85 employees says it can increase its activities enough to recover fully in 2011, French TV station Delta TV reports.

According to CEO Pierre Siou, Aquanord sold some 1,700 metric tons of bream and bass in 2010 and hopes to return to levels of 2,400 metric tons this year.
